Family home evening
For family home evening last night we had a wonderful time Andrew and I made English toffee for the first time and surprise surprise we didn't mess it up. The toffee tasted and looked wonderful and we took some of it over to Andrews sister Ki she has had a horrible week her son got sick and had to be in the hospital for a couple of days. Her church has been sending her yummy meals and so we thought that we would give her family a yummy treat I hope they like them. Cooking with my husband was a new, but enjoyable experience I would like to do it a lot more. Flirting and joking in the kitchen and figuring out what to do together was great I don't have a candy thermometer so we had to guess, but it still came out the way it was supposed to and was fun to make. I love English Toffee it is one of my biggest weakness so when I cook something I really like I usually have people in mind that I could give it to before I make it. I love to give food away it always seems to make someones day. My husband has actually asked that when I make treats that I put some in a safe place for him and stop giving it all away so I need to work on my self control. Hunter sadly wasn't part of the family home evening treat making Andrew got home too late and I had to put Hunter to bed it was past his bedtime and he was cranky so next week we do family home evening as a family like God intended.
